Service Disabled Veteran Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) means a business that is at least 51% owned by one or more service disabled veterans or in the case of a corporation, partnership, or limited liability company or other entity, at least 51% of the equity ownership interest in the corporation, partnership, or limited liability company or other entity is owned by one or more individuals who are service disabled veterans and both the management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more individuals who are service disabled veterans.
The businesses are eligible to compete for sole-sources and set-aside contracts at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The VA set aside at least 7% of its contracts each year specifically for certified VOSBs and SDVOSBs. You can also compete for contracts under other qualifying socio-economic programs.
